At Joy Family Dental, our mission is to keep our patient's oral health in tip-top condition. Of course, this means relieving pain and discomfort during patients’ post-surgical recovery after oral procedures such as tooth extraction or gum disease treatment. At the same time, we want to limit the use of prescription pain medications such as opioids.

That’s why we now use the StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care line of products. The products are herbal/OTC yet are incredibly effective for supporting wound healing and relieving pain.

What Is StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care?

The StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care Recovery Kit is a herbal/OTC trio of products for pre and post-surgical treatment with oral surgeries. Consisting of an antimicrobial rinse, sublingual/systemic spray, and topical gel, StellaLife VEGA Oral Care has been proven to support wound healing in our patients. It also provides pain relief and decreases the need for opioids.

Why Is StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care Unique?

Managing discomfort after oral surgery and other procedures has typically fallen to the prescription of various opioids, but this has created an epidemic of addiction in the United States. We like that the StellaLife VEGA Oral Care product line is completely herbal/OTC and contains no opioids or any other prescription pain medications.

Who Is A Candidate For StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care Products?

The StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care Recovery Kit is for adults and children over 6 years of age. This kit of three products has been formulated to support postsurgical dental recovery after wisdom tooth extraction, placement of dental implants, bone grafting, osseous surgery, connective tissue grafting (gum surgery), and various other dental procedures and surgeries that can cause residual pain.

This trio of products has proven to support wound healing and relieve pain while minimizing the need for prescription pain medication. In clinical studies and reviews, the StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care product line has received a 91% clinical rating. How Does The StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care Recovery Kit Work?

This kit contains a 16 oz. bottle of StellaLife® VEGA® Oral Care Rinse and 1 oz. bottles of VEGA® Oral Care Gel and Spray. The rinse can be used as a part of routine daily oral hygiene. It kills bacteria that cause cavities and periodontal disease, hydrates the oral cavity, and freshens breath.

When used to handle healing and pain with oral surgery procedures, patients start using the StellaLife® Recovery Kit 3 days before their surgery. This increases their therapeutic levels heading into the procedure. The use of all three products then continues for a full 7 days after the procedures. The rinse is used first, and then the spray, followed by the gel. This is repeated 3 times each day, preferably after meals. The patient needs to refrain from drinking or eating for at least 20 minutes after applying the three products.
